I SAW A RAINBOW IN THE SKY

I saw a rainbow in the sky a few days gone by,

Red, orange, green, purple, blue.

It didn't stay very long, going, I know not where

to lie.

But while it stayed it was a brilliant view.

So might my days, at least now and then,

Be like that.

Then I would be most content and never

Wonder why

Someday I have to die.
